was talking to reesey on sunday at newport he is working for concrete building a new park at taylors lakes does anyone know the address my memory is totaly stuffed typical old school now. but do know it has a bowl.

The address is corner of Hume Drive and Calder Park Drive in Taylors Hill.
It is part of a sports facility that is being constructed at the moment. The bowl is dug out and the coping has been set in. It has a spine and bank set up in the bowl similar to the Deer Park bowl, although it doesn’t look as deep.
Also has a fairly long bank that feeds into an open ended 3/4 bowl as well as the usual street stuff.

Checked it out yesterday. What at first seemed quite promising has a few shortcomings. The street area has a lovely staircase that gets in the way of any flow lines and the surface is like ice even on 97a wheels. That didn’t deter the street, scooter and longboard guys and girls who seemed to be out in force wagging school. Obviously this is a well received park in an area with a lot of kids.
The bowl seems like a rush job, it has a fast smooth finish but it’s kind of lumpy in parts. The coping is too far set in for some peoples taste and covered in lumps of concrete although that will wear off eventually. Nevertheless I quite liked the bowl, plenty of different lines for such a small space.
