Here’s the long version if you’re interested……….

The two big days are coming and the forecast has been up graded from “Showers” to a slightly drier “Few Showers” on both days. Melbourne weather is fickle and the bureau can’t forecast it accurately either. “Few Showers” can mean one or two short rain-offs in a skating day, cloudy but dry or a total wash out. We can tolerate a couple of short rain-offs. It’s gunna be windy - that can dry a bowl.

If it’s declared “wet” we will abandon itineraries and go to The Ring of Fire. If it’s going to be mostly dry we will stick to the plan as stated on the net at….

Rye Cradle Bowl. 11am – 1pm. Allow nearly 2 hours to drive to Rye from the airport.

Round Easter 1986- roadtripping crew from Newcastle hit Melbourne for the Big M ramp contest at Festival Hall and endure the ‘Misadventure at Melton’.

20 years later…

6:45am Weather Report Friday 7/4/06

According to the radar screen the last of the showers should clear Rye by 7:30am. With wind speed at a low 13-17 kmph the should dry slowly.

Danny Van, Mohawk Mal and Boris stayed over night in Rye and didn’t get a roll yesterday due to the rain.

Further update and decision on “Dry” or “Wet” timetable at 9:00am or before.

Matt Grant and Richard are on their way. Tony H, Marty and Errol are also gunna risk it. Jimmy Loricco is on the ferry. Danny Van, Mohawk Mal and Boris stayed over night in Rye and didn’t get a roll yesterday due to the rain.
